Azithromycin PhT is prescribed for the treatment of inflammatory infections caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to the medicine:
— upper respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis);
— lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, community-acquired bacterial pneumonia, including pneumonia caused by atypical pathogens);
— middle ear infections (acute otitis media);
— skin and soft tissue infections: moderate acne, migratory annular erythema (early stage of Lyme disease), erysipelas, impetigo, secondary pyoderma;
— sexually transmitted diseases caused by Chlamydia trachomatis (uncomplicated urethritis, cervicitis);
— diseases of stomach and duodenum associated with Helicobacter pylori.
